Provision of planning advice and peer review associated with Council’s planning scheme review process including the strategic framework and preparation and review of various zone codes to inform the new planning scheme; reviewing to ensure consistency with emerging QPP provisions at the time; assessing reasonable and relevance of various draft codes and provisions.
Council of Mayors (SEQ) Pty Ltd
Project Manager for the Housing Affordability Fund's Liveable Compact Cities Project (LCCP) for a period of 8 months, providing strategic direction and management for the project's foundation stages, and ensuring funding and reporting obligations, project objectives and timeframes were met on time and within budget.
This project focused on the role of medium density residential development in improving housing affordability, looking at the South East Queensland region in particular. The establishment phase required initiating and ongoing dialogue with various stakeholders across Commonwealth, State and local governments and the development industry, as well as undertaking a diverse community consultation program.
The project received a commendation at the 2012 PIA (Qld) Awards for Planning Excellence
